Who We Are

We're coffee lovers, not critics. ATX Coffee Collective started as a running list of the Austin shops we couldn't stop going back to, and grew into something more useful: a way to make every coffee run a little more fun.

Every shop here earned its place before it went on the map, so the hard part is already done. What's left is the fun part: your passport. Log your visits, collect a stamp at every shop, and watch your map of Austin fill in one cup at a time.

Whether you're a pour-over purist chasing the perfect single origin or you just want a good spot to work this afternoon, this is for anyone who thinks a coffee shop is worth going out of your way for.

How It Works

We're not here to rank Austin from best to worst, or to tell you which cup you should have liked. If it made the list, it's worth a visit — the rest is up to you.

So there's no overall score anywhere on this site, on purpose. There's your passport instead. Visit a shop, stamp it, and rate it Bronze, Silver or Gold — how full you fill the mug is your call, and it stays yours. Private by default.

Bronze

Solid — worth a stop

Silver

Really good

Gold

A favorite — I'll be back

We're all creatures of habit — same shop, same order, same seat by the window. No shame in it. But there's a whole city out there and the best cup you haven't had yet is probably one neighborhood over.

Stamps become badges, badges become a passport worth showing off, and enough of those makes you an ATXCC legend. So get up, get out, explore — and fill it up along the way.

Why Austin?

Austin's specialty coffee scene is one of the best in the country, and it's growing fast. Between SXSW, Formula 1, ACL, and the constant stream of people moving here, there's a huge audience that needs a guide they can trust.

Going deep in one city means we can build the kind of authority that a global app never can. We visit every shop, know the baristas by name, and keep the map current. Austin first — then we'll see where the coffee takes us.
